Charles C. Schmitt (AKA Moses), age 75 of Hobart, IN passed away on May 1st, 2023 while under the tender care of the Hospice of the Calumet Area W.J. Riley Memorial Residence in Munster.

Chuck was born on May 29th, 1947 in Peoria, IL.  He served in the 101st Airborne of the U.S. Army, was a union ironworker, and a heavy equipment operator for Hobart Sealcoating for many years.

Chuck is survived by his brother Robert (Cindy) Loeffler and four sisters; Suzanne Daniel, Ramona Oslizlo, Raye Jean (Tom) Jackson, and Tammy Timpe. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews and special “Brothers” Chris (Crystal) Cassoday and Kenneth “Doc” Coleman.
