Ronald Lee Arndt Jr.

January 21, 1968 - November 29, 2021

Ronald Lee Arndt Jr., age 53 of Michigan City, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021 in his home.

He was born on January 21, 1968 in Valparaiso, IN to Ronald Lee Arndt Sr. and Nancy Darlene (Clark) Arndt, both of whom preceded him in death.

Ron is survived by his partner, Rob Tate of Michigan City, IN; Alisha (Morgan) Reynolds of Franklin, IN; Angela and Jordan Morgan of Michigan City, IN; Stacy (Kevin) Scott of Atlanta, GA; and by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was also preceded in death his sister Sherri Lynn (Arndt) Richardson-Williams in 2019.

Ron spent most of his career in various roles at Long Term Care Facilities. In 2003, he became a Licensed Heath Facility Administrator. He was most recently the Executive Director at South Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Gary, IN. Ron was the Chairman for Pride Charities, a non-profit that assisted people with HIV. He was also a volunteer for PFLAG in Michigan City, IN.

Ron loved spending his spare time with his family and friends. He loved the many trips he took to Pigeon Forge, TN with friends. He enjoyed spending his free time at his camper at the Rising Sun Campground in Monterey, IN. Ron was a great host of events and was very into interior design. Nobody better get in the way of him and his many beautiful Christmas trees that he spent countless hours on perfecting.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. More information will be made available in time.

You were truly a great friend like a big brother. You would tell like it is and when I was being dumb. You are now with you parents, sister, and aunt Pat and uncle Ed. But will be truly missed down here. We will keep a close eye on Jordan and Angie for you. Love and miss you big brother.

This breaks my heart, I lost touch with Ron and the group for a while. It reminds me of how short life is, Ron was always kind to me and I’ll always remember him for that. I wish I would have stayed in contact more. You will be greatly missed by those who met you. And I am terribly sorry for Rob, Angie, Jordan and Alisha. May he look over you and help guide you.

Ron was such a fantastic boss, and such an awesome person. He cared so very much about the resident’s and making sure they were cared for, he taught me how to truly take Christmas tree decorating to another level. Rest In Peace. You will be greatly missed.
